Today marks the anniversary of the dedication of the Empire State Building in 1931. While reclaiming its title as the tallest building in New York City, the Clinton Global Initiative has organized a $20 million project to modernize the giant (part of a $500 million overhaul), making it a symbol for retrofitting existing architecture for sustainable and reduced energy consumption.

craig strulovitz design

Trained at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Craig Strulovitz received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the university’s Department of Interior Architecture. After graduation, he moved to New York City and began his career working for Glenn Gissler Design. He has experience working with many different styles of design, however he is most known for creating clean, eclectic spaces combining both traditional and modern furnishing with a sensible, user-friendly approach.

Following the photoshoot of one of his projects on January 9, LED completed Craig’s website utilizing an elegant design of cream, white, and grey tones to accent the images. The site uses minimal script and java, utilizing an image fade for navigation.
